Divine Healing In The New Testament (Morning Coffee Lecture).
In the New Testament, there are several passages that mention divine healing. One of the most well-known is found in Matthew 8:1-17, where Jesus heals a man with leprosy. I’ll use this passage as a starting point for my discussion of divine healing in the New Testament.
The story of the healing of the man with leprosy in Matthew 8 is a powerful example of Jesus’ ability to heal people. In this passage, the man approaches Jesus and says, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.” Jesus responds by touching the man and saying, “I am willing. Be clean.” Immediately, the man is healed. This story is significant for several reasons. First, it shows that Jesus is willing and able to heal people. Second, it shows that Jesus is compassionate and cares about people who are suffering. Third, it demonstrates that faith is an important part of divine healing.

Alright! So, as I was saying, this story demonstrates that faith is an important part of divine healing. The man with leprosy had faith that Jesus could heal him, and Jesus responded to his faith by healing him. This is an important principle that is repeated throughout the New Testament. In Mark 11:22-24, Jesus says, “Have faith in God. Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.” This shows that faith is essential for receiving.
