Divine Healing In the Old Testament part 4 (Morning Coffee Lecture).
The next story I’d like to talk about is the healing of the ten lepers, as found in Luke 17. In this story, ten lepers called out to Jesus and asked him to heal them. Jesus told them to go and show themselves to the priests, and as they were walking, they were healed. Only one of the lepers, a Samaritan, came back to thank Jesus. This story shows that gratitude is an important part of the healing process.
Another one is the story of the healing of Bartimaeus, as found in Mark 10. Bartimaeus was a blind man who called out to Jesus for help. When Jesus asked him what he wanted, Bartimaeus replied, “I want to see.” Jesus then healed him. This story emphasizes the importance of asking for what you need and having faith that you will receive it.
Okay, I’d like to tell you about the story of the healing of a centurion’s servant, as found in Matthew 8. A centurion came to Jesus and asked him to heal his servant, who was sick and close to death. The centurion had great faith, and Jesus commended him for it. Jesus then healed the servant from a distance, without even having to go to him. This story is a great example of how faith can bring about healing, even when we cannot see the healing happening.
To summarize, all of these stories from the Bible show that faith, gratitude, and asking for what we need are all important aspects of the healing process. They show that when we have faith, anything is possible. Even if we can’t see the healing taking place, we should have faith that it will happen.
Stay blessed.
