Living a Successful Life Here on Earth

Success is one of the most desired experiences of humanity. Yet true success is not accidental — it is built intentionally through alignment with God, healthy relationships with people, and proper stewardship of the resources God has entrusted to us.
This teaching breaks success into three dimensions:
- Relationship with God
- Relationship with Man
- Relationship with Things
Master these three, and you will live a balanced, impactful, and truly successful life on earth.
1. Building a Relationship With God
(The Spiritual Foundation of Success)
A successful life begins with God. You cannot truly succeed without the One who created you, knows you, and designed your destiny.
a. God Is the Source of True Success
John 15:5 – “Without Me you can do nothing.”
Everything meaningful begins with a vibrant walk with God.
b. Live by the Word of God
Joshua 1:8 – “This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth… then you shall make your way prosperous.”
Reading, meditating, and obeying the Word produces wisdom and prosperity.
c. Prayer, Worship, and Obedience
Prayer aligns your spirit with God.
Worship softens your heart.
Obedience secures divine backing.
d. Discover and Fulfill Your Purpose
Jeremiah 29:11 – God has a purpose for your life.
Success begins the day you discover why God put you on earth.
2. Building a Relationship With Man
(The Social Dimension of Success)
You were not designed to succeed alone. People are God’s channels for help, favour, opportunities, and growth.
a. Love is the Foundation
John 13:34–35 – Love one another.
Love strengthens families, friendships, and ministry.
b. Communicate With Wisdom
James 1:19 – Be quick to hear, slow to speak.
Good communication builds trust; poor communication destroys relationships.
c. Practice Forgiveness and Patience
Colossians 3:13 – Forgive one another.
Relationships thrive on mercy and understanding.
d. Walk in Integrity
Proverbs 10:9 – The upright walk securely.
People trust and follow those who are honest and reliable.
e. Choose Your Circle Wisely
Proverbs 13:20 – Walk with the wise and become wise.
Your relationships shape your direction and destiny.
f. Serve Others Humbly
Mark 10:43–44 – Greatness is expressed through service.
True success means adding value to people.
3. Building a Relationship With Things
(The Material & Resource Dimension of Success)
“Things” include money, possessions, opportunities, career, technology, and physical resources.
God doesn’t want things to control you — He wants you to control them.
a. God Gave You Dominion
Genesis 1:28 – Have dominion over the earth.
You are not created to be enslaved by possessions.
b. Things Are Tools, Not Masters
Luke 12:15 – Life is not measured by possessions.
Use things; don’t love them.
c. Stewardship and Accountability
Psalm 24:1 – Everything belongs to God.
You are a caretaker of every blessing you have.
Matthew 25:14–30 – Faithful stewardship produces increase.
d. Honour God With Your Resources
Proverbs 3:9–10 – Honour the Lord with your substance.
Giving protects your heart from greed and positions you for overflow.
e. Work Diligently & Honestly
Proverbs 14:23 – There is profit in hard work.
Success built on integrity lasts.
f. Practice Contentment and Gratitude
1 Timothy 6:6–8 – Godliness with contentment is great gain.
Gratitude attracts increase; comparison steals joy.
g. Use Technology and Resources Wisely
Genesis 2:15 – Manage and keep the garden.
Use opportunities, tools, and platforms to advance your purpose and God’s kingdom.
Conclusion
True success is balanced success — spiritual, social, and material.
You are successful when:
- God governs your life,
- People matter to you, and
- Things serve your purpose.
When these three dimensions align, you will prosper in all you do and fulfil the divine assignment God placed on your life.
