“A little extra sleep, a little more slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest— then poverty will pounce on you like a bandit; scarcity will attack you like an armed robber.” – Proverbs 24:33-34 (NLT)
In this new year, one of your desires should be to gain the power to subdue the kingdom of darkness. To achieve this, combat spiritual lethargy by intentionally pursuing God. Set aside time for prayer, immerse yourself in Scripture, and engage in worship.
God desires you to be spiritually alive, filled with passion for Him. When lethargy creeps in, it’s an invitation to rekindle your spiritual fervour. Just as a flame needs fuel to burn brightly, your spirit needs the fuel of prayer, worship, and diving into God’s Word.
Confession: Dear lord Jesus, fill me today with the fuel I need to burn brightly for you, to subdue the kingdom of darkness, and be the passionate follower You desire me to be. Amen
