Morning Coffee Lecture 245 (A weekly devotional to motivate your day)
The Spiritual Significance of the Eleventh Month (November) in the Life of Believers – God’s Promises for November 2025.”
📖 Text References
Deuteronomy 1:3 – “And it came to pass in the fortieth year, in the eleventh month, on the first day of the month, that Moses spake unto the children of Israel…”
Matthew 20:6-9 – “And about the eleventh hour he went out… and they received every man a penny.”
Philippians 1:6 – “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
The number 11 in Scripture often symbolizes:
(a). Transition – A bridge between the start (beginning) and the finish (completion).
The year starts in January and ends in December, but how the December ends is determined by the outcome of November, the eleventh month which ushers in the final lapse of the year race. It has an intriguing force following it either positively or negatively as the case maybe.
In Deuteronomy 1 : 3, God began to speak to Israel in the eleventh month, preparing them to enter the promise land and to possess it. It was their month of Transition, Preparation and Possession.
(b). Disorder turning into divine order – After 10 (which represents law and order), 11 often means the moment just before perfection and fulfillment.
Remember, the Israelites were wandering in the desert for forty years confused and disorganised (a journey of days turning into years) , until when God spoke to them through Moses in the eleventh month that brought them to precision and divine orderliness.
This shows that when God speaks to us, it gives us directions and precisions to achieve our purpose and goal
(c). Final push before completion – It’s a prophetic season of finishing strong.
Just like a woman in labour room, it is that final push that delivers the baby. Despite several pushes that occurs during child bearing, there is always a final push which is the strongest amongst all that gives result to a baby . That is what the eleventh month stands for . However your year ends , is determined by the final push of November (11th month). Intriguing force.
Things to note:
The journey of the Israelites from Egypt to the Promised Land (Canaan) should normally have taken about 11 days — not 40 years.
Biblical Reference:
(It takes eleven days to go from Horeb to Kadesh Barnea by the Mount Seir road.) — Deuteronomy 1:2 (NIV)So, from Mount Sinai (Horeb) to Kadesh Barnea—the border of Canaan—was an 11-day journey by foot.
Why 11
11 days journey and God spoke to them on the 11th month, why 11?
