“Jesus entered the temple courts and drove out all who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves” – Matt 21:12 (NIV)
As a believer, it’s important to live a life marked by patience and forgiveness. Understanding your anger triggers is a key step towards mastering your emotions. In the Bible, we see that Jesus was angry when He defended the holiness of God’s house, but He remained in control of His emotions.
We too must recognize when our anger is justified and when it is not. It’s appropriate to respond with righteous anger at all times, and we must avoid reacting with anger fueled by pride or selfishness. By identifying our anger triggers, we can take control of our emotions and respond in a way that aligns with Christ’s example.
Confession: With God’s guidance, I respond to my anger triggers in a way that reflects God’s love, patience, and forgiveness.
