Nigerian gospel artistes Nathaniel Bassey, Mercy Chinwo, and Moses Bliss have made a powerful global impact, earning notable positions among the top 20 most-streamed Nigerian musicians on YouTube Music in Q1 2025, according to Top Charts Africa.
Nathaniel Bassey led the gospel trio with 52.8 million streams, securing 13th place overall. He was followed by Mercy Chinwo with 46.4 million streams, and Moses Bliss with 41.5 million, placing them in 16th and 19th respectively.
‘TOBECHUKWU’ and ‘Jesus Iye’ Dominate Gospel Streams
Nathaniel Bassey’s collaborative hit with Mercy Chinwo, TOBECHUKWU, emerged as a fan favorite, amassing a whopping 39 million plays. His solo track Jesus Iye also drew major attention with 32 million streams, while Yahweh Sabaoth recorded 25 million.
