Jealousy and envy are powerful emotions that can consume you if you allow them to. When you feel threatened by someone else’s accomplishments, it can lead you down a path of bitterness and resentment.

Instead of celebrating David’s victories, Saul felt threatened and saw David as a rival and tried to harm him in this jealousy. Similarly, when you feel threatened by others, you must guard your heart against jealousy and envy. Celebrate their successes, pray for them and trust in God’s plan and path for your own life.
