TOPIC: PNEUMATOLOGY ( THE STUDY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT).
PRINCIPAL TEXT: Matthew 28:19, 1 John 5:7.
Matthew 28:19 (KJV) Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
1 John 5:7 (KJV) For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
INTRODUCTION:
The Greek word “Neuma” Means wind, spirit or ghost, in our study of the sovereignty of God, we learn that the Holy Ghost is the third person in the Trinity.
His personality is not seen with the human eye, but his manifestations, functions and activities are visible, feel able and tangible.
As the third person in the Trinity, We are in the era of the Holy Ghost. Let’s read:
John 14:26 (KJV) But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
The church is working by the move and function of the Holy Ghost. Acts 1:8-9
Acts 1:8 (KJV) But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
He is the promise of the father to the church as Jesus was Ascending to the Heaven.
Luke 24:49,
Luke 24:49 (KJV) And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
John 15:26.
IN OLD TESTAMENT
The whole of the Old testament was filled with the activities of the holy Ghost as the spirit of God. Genesis 1:2,
Genesis 1:2 (KJV) And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
PHARAOH TALK OF HOLY GHOST
Gen. 41:38,
Genesis 41:38 (KJV) And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is?
Exodus 31:3, Numbers 24:2, 1 Samuel 10:10, Isaiah 61:1.
BALAM TALK OF HOLY SPIRIT
Numbers 24:2 (KJV) And Balaam lifted up his eyes, and he saw Israel abiding in his tents according to their tribes; and the spirit of God came upon him.
The Prophets and Fathers of the Old testament Faith Spoke by the Holy Ghost. Mark 12:36.
Mark 12:36 (KJV) For David himself said by the Holy Ghost, The LORD said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool.
In our next study, we will begin to look at the function, character, activities and manifestations of the holy spirit who is the third person of the Trinity.

And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.
